Why do women just assume that men dont know style coordination and proper makeup applications?

Its so annoying that women seem to just assum we are like dumb animals that burp, fart and scratch all the time?

Im not like that. I get manicures once every few weeks. I gave helped my girlfriend also, till she left me.

I use a concealer to do my face too. Nothing to weird, just a simple foundation to cover up my blemishes and stuff. I know how to select the right one for my skin type. I also like to use mascara to enhance my lashes. I also do my own eyebrows so they look sexy. Why do women just assume that men dont know style coordination and proper makeup applications?
Cause usually you don't ask a guy to recommend an eye shadow primer. Why do women just assume that men dont know style coordination and proper makeup applications?
Good point. The leading men in the old hollywood days would use subtle cosmetics to enhance their features. A lot of rock-and-roll performers use cosmetics daily, and they've got female fans going nuts over them.

To each their own, you have a look that feels right to you. Others prefer a more earthy appearance and that's their choice. Be yourself.
yes there should be more metrosexuals out there, or atleast more men who care about thier appearance a little more. ITs not unmanly to want to look nice and a lot of guys just dont care about thier appearance. If I look nice then why cant they? ITs really not that diffucult.
I think that's called metrosexual: where a man is sensitive to his appearance.

Good for you, I think every guy should be metro, lol.

:)
Why do you assume that women are a homgeneous group?
Well, whatever floats your boat... I'm sure you're a lot more pleasant to share an elevator with than many men.
ur like gay or something dude - get help
First, you must open your eyes and understand that even most men prefer women's natural look over the makeup and cosmetics.

That goes TRIPLE for women.

Everyone (men, women, and yes...you) burps and farts. But you mean you don't want to be dirty. Then be clean, but be manly.

I think you are going over bored with the foundation and tweezing, i grew up with 4 sisters, only boy... I know about that stuff too, but you won't see me shelling out a penny for any of that junk. I'm so deep into sports and workingout its a waste of time.

There is nothing wrong with how you wish to look, but if you are trying to attract females, you need to recognize that women (most) like men... and if you don't look like a man, then they really won't like you.

Now that you broke up with your gf, i suggest you seek her advice as a friend on what you can do to maintain your clean look, but still have the masculine appeal.
Sorry, no offense...but I prefer the men that burp fart and scratch to those that wear makeup. I would seriously rather see your blemishes than see you with make up on.

Plenty of men respect themselves...in fact enough to say...

fock it...I've got a blemish deal with it.

Do you actually attract women, wearing make up???

Oh jeeze...you tweez your brows?

Well as long as your happy.

Did the girlfriend say why she was leaving?

EDIT:

yeah, darlin...that's what I thought.

Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, I'm just being honest....as a feminine woman...you could be my girlfriend...but not my man.

EDIT:

That's great...I'm all for well groomed men...but why the make up, that's not about cleanliness and you know it. and the tweezed brows...that looks feminine, not clean....feminine.

EDIT: Because...it makes you look like a chick!

What's wrong with looking like a man?

Seriously...and you don't have to answer this outloud...just ask yourself...how are women responding to this feminine look of mine?

I mean...if it's working, and youre happy, great.

If not, and that makes you unhappy...you may want to reconsider this look. I suppose you wear girls panties too?

Men bushy brows arent ugly...they're MASCULINE.

FOUNDATION-UPWARD STROKES MINIMAL

LOOSE POWDER-USE A LOT WITH A BLUSH OR POWDER BRUSH FOR A MATTE FINISH YOU GO GIRL~!Hi.. ibought that cover girl clean makeup and loose powder and i wanted to know what are good application tips
I always put like foundation or powder on my cheeks and apply it back toward my hairline and it always seems to be an even application when I do that and work out well.

I was handed an application at MAC (makeup) without asking, just conversation with the MA. Should I go for it?

If you are a MAC freak or any makeup artist, you know its hard to get a job there. I have no experience. I hope to do freelance work at some point but im simply a novice, and timing wise its such a crazy offer. However Id be lying if I said it isnt something Id love to do. To my knowledge its impossible to work there. But why did she randomly give me an app?? As long as its hanging on my fridge I cant ignore it. Sounds stupid but help please :]I was handed an application at MAC (makeup) without asking, just conversation with the MA. Should I go for it?
You should definitely give it a try even if you're no expert... everyone starts somewhere and you can gain great experience here. I work at Macy's so i know a few people who work for MAC and have some friends also working for them, a lot of them started out at MAC and had no previous proper experience... plus, you can be around people who can teach you a lot of this is an area you really want to get into.I was handed an application at MAC (makeup) without asking, just conversation with the MA. Should I go for it?
if you have no experience, you are not going to get hired. MAC only hires MUA's with experience and training. Also, they do not give out applications. They don't even have applications. They accept your resume and send it over to their hiring office and they contact you.
Go for it only if you really want it, if not, leave it to someone who really really wants the job.
yeah i think you should, if thats what you wanna do!
i think u should

Will daily application of makeup ruin my skin at 15?

hi, im 15 years old and wear makeup everyday. Not for everyone else but for myself. I dont have any pimples or anything just small freckles and light skin.

I have blue eyes, blonde hair.

And i think i look better with it.

I put it on so it looks natural, but flawless.

I use mascara

2 shades of foundation (not heavy) used with spoungy thing

then powder

and brush on some bronzer

followed by some rub in blush.

I use it all over my face (except blush)

but i am just a bit concerned.

I moisterize with a very good natural mouisterizer befor and after application. I use a cleanser eveynight in the shower to get it all off, but i always feel guilty because im wondering is this ruining my skin and is the moisturizer really making up for it?

Will my skin damage or age quickly? Please i would love any advise.

And please dont start with 'Your young, you dont need makeup', because well, i feel uncomfertable without it so i wear it.Will daily application of makeup ruin my skin at 15?
What you're doing sounds great. Most teenage girls do wear make-up, however they do not seem to always wash it off before bed, as well as remember to moisturize twice daily.

I doubt that it will ruin your skin since it seems as though you are taking proper care of it. It may have a tiny effect on it as you get older, but probably not much since you cleanse and moisturize often. As someone mentioned before, make sure your moisturizer has SPF in it, preferably 15, and that will definitely help maintain the youth and natural glow in your skin. Another thing I doubt is that you will continue to wear as much make up in about two years to even a years time. When I was 14-15 I wore almost exactly what you wear, foundation, bronzer, mascara etc. However in my junior year of high school i started to become a bit lazy and realized that if you have pretty good skin, then foundation is not all that necessary. For the rest of the year I only wore eyeliner. This year, in my senior year, I wear absolutely no make up at all. It's so much easier, and in time, I think you'll find that you actually look a bit better with less make up on. However if you still want to wear the same amount of make up for a while, go for it, just keep doing what you're doing! Will daily application of makeup ruin my skin at 15?
You are doing the right thing by cleansing and moisturising your skin every night.

I know this girl who never cleaned off her eye make up, and then i din't see her for a while. When i did see her, around her eyes looked awful!!! Wrinkly and just bad, so keep up your cleansing routine.

I agree with the natural make-up answer...because normal foundation does clog your pores, but a natural foundation, or one with an SPF in it would be even better.

So good on you. Choose the right make up and keep doing waht your doing, i reckon your skin should be fine :)
No it won't wreck your skin! In fact, I often think it helped mine because I was far more aware of cleansing properly after wearing it!

Make sure your moisturiser and foundation has SPF's in it too! Added bonus -sun protection!
I completely understand where you're coming from (I've been there). I would say try to use makeup with spf in it and oil free. That will keep your skin young because it will protect it from the sun and oil free will reduce your chances of breaking out. I think you're doing good with washing your face. I use the 3 step from Clinique where you wash, tone, and moisturize twice a day. However, there are all kinds of brands that offer a 3 step you can try. Washing obviously cleans your face, toning removes dead skin cells, and moisturizing keeps your face from getting dry. Now, I even use an eye cream (I'm only 20, but I have dark circles so that helps) and an antioxidant moisturizer that protects my skin from pollutants in the air. As long as your remain consistent with your skin care, you should be fine.
It depends on what type of make-up you use.

Try to use make-up with all natrual ingredients and pure mineral powders.

All the crap they put in some cosmetics would ruin anybody's skin with long-period use.

The only thing I'd change is that you should use a moisturiser with an SPF of 15 or higher EVERY day, rain or shine. Sun damage ruins skin over time and you can keep yourself looking a LOT younger a lot longer if you start wearing sunscreen NOW! Use it on your arms and hands, too... it's every actress and model's secret to looking great for a long time.

Also, you should look in to mineral makeup. Not that junk they sell in drugstores or supermarkets - go to a GOOD spa and get a good brand like Jane Iredale, Youngblood, Bare Minerals, or, if you can find it, Mineralogie - that one is THE BEST!! I could go on for a whole page about how Mineral Makeup is SO great for you, but you should just go to a makeup artist and ask him or her. Take a friend so you can both get makeovers!

One more thing - NEVER smoke or do drugs! Those are the ABSOLUTE WORST things you can do for your skin! You put that crap in your body and it comes out through your pores, I swear! Even too much alcohol is WAY bad for your skin. Eat healthy, drink lots of water and avoid the sun! You'll have pretty skin and a healthy body well into old age! Will daily application of makeup ruin my skin at 15?
Not at all, don't listen to anmyone that critises you because you are young. If it makes YOU feel more cconfident and better about yourself then you should do it.

It wont ruin your skin if you make sure you cleanse it off each night. The reasno is, if you leave it on it's like a mask and wont allow your skin to breathe which will cause blocked pores, blakcheads etc.

If anything makeup protects your skin, it forms a barrier frmo harsh weather like wind and sun.

Just make sure you use a daily moisturiser with a sun protection and cleanse and moisturise each night.
When I was in high school I noticed alot of white girls wearing alot of makeup, they did not have really bad skin, like pimples and bumps. But when you get older you know you will make Creulla Deville look like Jessica Simpson. Wear anything in moderation. Always buy extra sponges and clean your brushes. These are where the hidden dangers are.
I think it should be fine. Make up usually gives younger girls spots cause its oily but if your not getting any spots its fine and using moisturiser and toner should keep your skin healthy

Using mineral based makeup is your best bet. It looks natural, its good for your skin (non clogging), and it has a natural sunscreen from titanium and zinc oxides. Will daily application of makeup ruin my skin at 15?
foundation will make you age quicker - MYTH!

foundation is not bad for your skin at all...

unless you

a) use a REALLY cheap one.

i'm talking under ten dollars here...

b) don't wash it off, and cleanse, tone and moisturise your face every night

or

c) you apply it multiple times a day.

as for other makeup, it doesn't affect you at all unless you are allergic.

i suggest a brand such as clinique or dermalogica, as they make them for all skin types, so you can get one that best suits you.

makeup looks nice and if it makes you confident - GO FOR IT

coz confidence is the sexiest thing anyone can have.

also use a really nice, light cleanser and makeup remover.

I also suggest using a powder over the top of your liquid foundation as this is ideal for hot days, so it has the best possible coverage and you don't have to reapply or put tonnes on :]
There is nothing wrong with wearing makeup everyday especially since many of it has sun proof. My only comment is that young people usually have the most beautiful skin and features so using so many products may not be necessary to bring out the best in you. You can use a mineral foundation - with sun proof. A light brushing of blush. A little eyeliner. Cliniques makes a beautiful gloss; I think it's called Apple Blossom that's beautiful on everyone.
It's okay to wear makeup but I would really consider not wearing foundation everyday. You still have young skin %26amp; you should allow it to breathe as makeup will tend to dry it out %26amp; not let it hydrate itself. If you must wear foundation try to mimize it to when you go out %26amp; not all the time.
never wear makeup on a daily basis. You need to your skin a brrak and let it breathe!

-make sure ur diet is full of antioxidants ( all the berry's family)

- drink ALOT of water

- never wear make up too much

- always cleanse, moisturize mortning and night

- always put sunblock even though its cloudy, cuz its actually harmful than clear skies cuz it maximizes the uv rays' harmfulness

also make sure you live in a clean inviroment that doesnt have pollutio.. other than that Gr8 Job and keep up your lovely skin! ;)
Hey, I started wearing make-up at 12. It was only tinted moisturiser by its still make-up.

I wear make-up everyday now, tinted moisturiser followed by loose powder, blush, mascara and eyeliner.

Make-up doesn't ruin your skin unless you don't take it off before you go to bed. Always give your skin a day off, at least once a week. When you're not going out don't put make-up on and just let your skin breathe. No one's going to see you so it's not going to hurt.

Also, it's good to have a nice skin care treatment plan. Like at night, remove your make-up, wash your face then tone, apply some acne cream (if needed) and some moisturiser and thats it. Skin taken care of. Its good to have products that work for your skin and you are comfortable using.

I also think that its good to wash your face in the morning when you wake up. It wakes you up, removes all of the moisturiser and dirt that has built up over the night. Then once you've washed your face you can apply your make-up.

If you take care of your skin now, then it will look flawless when you're older.
No, it wont.

Just make sure that you wash it off every night, no matter how tired you are. Splash water on your face to get it out of the pores, and make sure you put on moisturizer.

Of course, your skin needs to breathe so make sure you look after it.
