personally, i like mac there sheer cover or flawless powder. it has great coverage. for a foundation you should use smashbox also use their primer/photo finish it makes your skin look REALLY flawless and clean.if you dont want to spend much you can also use clinique's flawless foundation or covergirl i think it works great. for application you should use a sponge or a brush AVOID using your fingers cause it may spread germs and the dirt on your finger or whateverr. for skincare make sure you take off all your makeup at nightt NEVER sleep with it or youll breakout MAJOR. if your skin already has a tendency to break out buy makeup products that are oil free or help with breakouts. i have a concealer from maybelline and it has some salilyic acid and prevents acne. for cream i use clean and clear night and day cream to avoid brekout. but a cream for just moisture and good healthy skin use estee lauder's night cream. it works well

i like unstoppable eyeliner by mabelline

and i do not recommend any type of foundation or powder. just wash your face, and try some acne meds (deep clean from neutrogena, anything from clearasil) if you have any issues with your skin, also apply some pasty toothpaste at night for cheap and quick zit remova. it mostly stops the redness and swelling. mascara is probably beter if you go with less is more. i use a dry brush after it dries to fan them out and make them look more natural. only wear a bronze or shimmery light brown at night when you dress up. this way, you dont have to worry about smearing anything, or reapplying!
always use primers! and moisturizer
