Does anyone know any sites for makeup application tips?

I'm just starting to get into wearing makeup (I'm almost 30, so no teenager sites) and need some help on what to put where, what brushes to use, what colors are best for African-American skin tones, that sort of thing. I don't want to waste a lot of money on makeup I can't figure out how to use or looks crazy on me.

ThanxDoes anyone know any sites for makeup application tips?
Most cosmetic sites will actually give really good advice on their own products.

Youtube has loads of tutorials for hair and makeup.

Maybeline uses videos as well.Does anyone know any sites for makeup application tips?
i think that the below website will help you to get guideness for all make up doubts.
I answered a similar question to this recently......go to www.lvillage.com this is a Makeover-o-matic page-it's free%26amp;u will be able to give yourself a real-life make-over%26amp;experiment with all different brands!!! Try it sure you will find it useful+fun!!
lancome.com almost every type of product has a short video demonstrating how to put it on .
go on www.videojug.com it shows you lots of videos on how to do things and you can get lots of makeup videos
Go to www.youravon.com/robertosaldana and you'll find every thing you need and more.
i would go to the makeup counter at your local department store for the first time around. if you go to walmart or walgreens, most of the time you cant test the makeup on your skin, when you visit the counter, you can get a professional opinion or close to one. since you are first starting out, i wouldnt use Mac, they might be too heavy for you. i would try something that fits your skin. tell them what issues you have with your skin, whether its oily, dry or in-between. they can fit you with the best match. i would go for Prescriptives, they have a formula called Virtual Skin which is very light and feels great on the skin. I switched over from Fashion Fair because it was too heavy. on my eyes i like to use a shimmer, something in gold or bronze. now i get most of my shadows from maybelline and loreal. once you figure what looks good on you, color choice will come naturally.
Check out my website at www.marykay.com/e-dunn and do a virtual makeover . You simply choose the model that is closest to your hair, eye and skin color. Then you can choose from several color combinations that include eye, cheek and lip colors. Plus you get step by step application tips. When you find a look you like you can order it right from the site or email me with any questions you may have. I can also work with you to find the right foundation and powder color for you and a skin care rountine the keeps your skin healty and enhances the wear of your makeup. Plus we can talk about giving you a discount! Hope this helps!
